Who we are: Octagon Academy, martial arts gym in Bucharest
Octagon Academy was founded by Ștefan with a simple goal: a place where beginners and kids are coached with the same care as advanced athletes. Every new member is personally looked after by the head coach for their first 3–6 months, so they learn correctly and feel part of the team.
How we work
- Groups by level: beginners, intermediate and advanced
- A dedicated coach for new members during their first 3–6 months
- No forced sparring: it only comes when you're ready
- Separate groups for kids, by age, with no striking
The gym
We train on tatami mats, with bags, pads and equipment for every class. Changing rooms and showers are available.
Support for families from Ukraine
We have a Russian-speaking coach and BJJ groups for kids and adults. All the information is also available in Ukrainian and Russian.

Do I need experience to start?

No. You can start from scratch, in groups by level, with no forced sparring.
Do you take kids?

Yes, from age 6, in kids BJJ, in separate age groups, with no striking.
Do you speak Russian?

Yes, we have a Russian-speaking coach. All the information is also available in Ukrainian and Russian (language selector in the menu).
